China Scholarship Council (CSC) – Curtin Joint PhD Scholarships

PR China citizens who receive a CSC scholarship and intending to enrol in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program are eligible to apply for a CSC-Curtin Joint PhD Scholarship of up to four years duration. Upon successful completion of their research, students will be conferred with a Doctor of Philosophy degree by Curtin.

Eligibility:     The CSC eligibility criteria require that applicants:
  • Are citizens or permanent residents of China at the time of application;
  • Must be living in China and are not currently working or studying abroad;
  • Upon completion of PhD studies must return to China;
  • Have an unconditional offer of enrolment for a postgraduate research degree at Curtin;
  • Must have fulfilled the relevant Curtin academic entry requirements, including a high level of English language proficiency; IELTS (Academic) with an overall result of 6.5 and no band less than 6.0; however PhD courses in certain disciplines may require higher IELTS scores.   • Intend to pursue a postgraduate research degree in one of the research priority areas identified by Curtin and the CSC. However, applicants to other study/research areas will also be considered.
